Cheating cases against medical college, doctors
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Gopalapuram police on Thursday booked cases against the Christian Medical College of Dichpalli in Nizamabad and four doctors following complaints from both parties accusing each other of cheating and forgery.
M. Sai Kumar and three other doctors told the police that the CMC management had invited them to work for it during inspection by the Medical Council of India, promising to pay them Rs. 2,000 per day.
The four doctors, along with 54 others, worked in the CMC for a few days this month.
They accused the CMC of not paying the promised money as the MCI had not accorded permission to the college. The CMC had reportedly claimed that the MCI had found that the certificates presented by some doctors were forged.
Sai Kumar and others said it was the CMC that produced fake certificates. A case under Sections 420 (cheating) and 471 (forgery) has been registered against the CMC.
The CMC too lodged a complaint later accusing the doctors of producing forged certificates.
