Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
The police have arrested six people in connection with the group clash at Shambupalya in Kalasipalya police station limits on Wednesday.
At least four persons were injured when two armed groups clashed around 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The names of those arrested were given as Aslam (20), Ansari (22), Asghar (32), Kaisar (19), Ibrahim (18) and Khaja Peer (22), all residents of Shambupalya.
While it is said that clash was between the Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress workers, who were canvassing for their party candidates for the byelection to the Chamarajpet Assembly segment, the police said it occurred because of personal rivalry.
