KOLLAM: The Kollam Bishop, Stanley Roman, will inaugurate the third quarterly meeting of the Kerala Chapter of the Association of Physicians of India here on Sunday. At a press conference here on Thursday, the chairman of the Quilon Physicians Club, Naveen Chandran, and the vice-chairman, John Zacharia David, said the meeting would include a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme for physicians. The topic for the CME programme will be `Further evidence on lymphatic filariasis in children.' It will be presented by the former Professor at the Alappuzha Medical College R.K. Shenoy. Mahendra Nath, consultant rheumatologist from Bangalore, will present a paper on `Diagnosis and management of systematic lupus erythematosis.' Binoy Paul, Associate Professor at the Kozhikode Medical College, will present a paper on `When and how to investigate a case of arthritis.' C.G. Bahuleyan, former Professor at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, will present a paper on `Optimisation of lipid management in cardiovascular diseases.' In addition to these presentations, two free paper sessions in which seven papers will be presented will also be held.
