Karur Vysya Bank maintains dividend

CHENNAI: Karur Vysya Bank has maintained the equity dividend at 100 per cent for 2004-05. The bank achieved a net profit of Rs. 105.34 crore against Rs. 161.05 crore. The fall in profit is attributable to the depreciation suffered on the investment portfolio owing to rise in interest rates. Total income has declined to Rs. 703.92 crore from Rs. 721.87 crore. However, interest income from advances portfolio has increased to Rs. 385.74 crore from Rs. 361 crore.
