NTR health varsity's PG re-counselling from today

All qualifiers of university's post-graduate entrance examination can attend


  • Previous counselling result no bar
  • BC, SC seat counselling on May 30
  • Rs. 4,600 fee for seat in Government college

    VIJAYAWADA: The re-counselling for admission into post-graduate medical courses offered by the Government and private medical colleges will commence at the NTR University of Health Sciences from Saturday.

    The cancellation of provisional selections made by the NTR-UHS between April 25 and 30 necessitated the re-counselling. It will be conducted for Andhra University, Osmania University and Sri Venkateswara University area seats.

    According to the notification issued by the University on Friday, the re-counselling for the open category seats up to 1,500th rank would be held in two phases on Saturday. Counselling for the open category seats up to the last rank would continue till the morning session the next day which would be followed by the counselling for BC category seats (up to 950 ranks) in the afternoon. The counselling for BC (from 951 to last rank) and SC category seats would be held in two sessions on May 30. This would be followed by counselling for the ST category seats in the morning session of May 31. The conve

    rsions and filling up of the left over seats would be held the same day in the afternoon session.

    All candidates who had qualified in the post-graduate medical entrance test conducted by the university on February 27 would be eligible to attend the re-counselling irrespective of whether they had been allotted provisional admission in the previous counselling. All the reserved category candidates who qualify in the open category merit list should attend the counselling for open category seats and exercise their option. The reserved candidates may attend the counselling in the reserved category if they opt for either a different course or college.

    Fee for seat

    Candidates should bring a demand draft for Rs. 4,600 for a seat in Government college and Rs. 7,600 in case of a private college drawn in favour of The Registrar, NTR University of Health Sciences, payable at Vijayawada. Candidates who had already paid the university fee need not pay again.
