Rosaiah ridicules Naidu's tour

KHAMMAM:
The Finance Minister, K. Rosaiah, has termed the TDP chief, N. Chandrababu Naidu's tour of drought areas a "political exercise," saying it lacks genuine concern for affected people.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Mr. Rosaiah said: "We know our accountability to the public." The Government could succeed where the TDP failed as far as drought relief was concerned. It was now genuinely a food-for-work programme, and not "food for workers" scheme, he remarked.
The TDP leadership was yet to reconcile to the fact that Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy was Chief Minister and the Telugu Desam Party was no longer in power.
