Baby stolen from bus

CHENNAI: : The Mylapore police have received a complaint that an eight-month-old baby was stolen from an MTC bus on Thursday evening.

The police said Janaki (30) boarded a crowded bus (route no. 45 B) from Alwarpet to take her son, Lingeswaran, to a hospital. She handed the baby to a co-passenger while she paid for the ticket. The woman then offered to hold the baby for a while longer. She disappeared with the baby while the bus was caught in the slow traffic in Mylapore.
