Train diversion

CHENNAI: The following EMUs will be diverted from Villivakkam and will not stop at Korattur, Pattaravakkam, Tirumullaivoyil, Annanur, Avadi, Hindu College and Pattabiram on Saturday and Sunday. This is due to line block in connection with engineering work on Chennai-Arakkonam section. The EMUs are MAD 27 Moore Market Complex (MMC)-Avadi local leaving MMC at 23.45 hrs on Saturday, MAD 1 Moore Market Complex (MMC)-Avadi local leaving MMC at 00.25 hrs on Sunday and the BA 1 Chennai Beach-Arakkonam local leaving Chennai Beach at 01.20 hrs on Sunday.

Train nos. GM 42 Gummidipoondi-Moore Market Complex local leaving Gummidipoondi at 21.45 hrs and SPM 16 Sullurupetta-MMC local leaving Sullurupetta at 21.50 hrs will reach MMC via Chennai Beach on May 30 and 31 and June 1 and 2, says a release from the Southern Railway.

Free eye check-up

Vision Care, Savera Opticians and Kapleshwar Opticals will conduct free eye check-up between 10.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. for children in the 4-15 age group from May 30 to June 15.

Workshop

The Women Entrepreneurship Promotional Association (WEPA) with the sponsorship support of the Union Ministry of Small Scale and Rural Industries is organising a day-long workshop on Sunday at R.V.
