Watchman found

murdered

A watchman, P. Venkat Rao, 46, was found murdered in the early hours of Friday on the premises of the R.K. Transport Company's garage at Suraram crossroads of Jeedimetla.

The killers strangled him to death with an electricity wire. His body was lying on the ground between a bus and JCB machine with the wire tied around his throat, the Jeedimetla police said.

Motive behind the killing was not yet known, according to the Inspector,

Supervisor killed

Unidentified persons killed the site supervisor of a real estate venture, Rambabu, 25, at Ibrahimpatnam on the city outskirts on Thursday night by attacking him with sticks.

His body was found lying on the ground in front of `J' block of the project on Friday morning. The Ibrahimpatnam Inspector, T. Venkateswarlu, said that either sexual jealousy or personal motive could the motive behind the killing.

Five held, pirated

CDs seized

The Hyderabad Police Task Force (West) team on Thursday raided three places at Jummerat Bazar, Gudimalkapur and Mehdipatnam and arrested five persons on charge of selling pirated audio and video CDs.

Ninety four pirated MP3 CDs, 14 pirated DVDs, 212 pirated VCDs were seized from their possession. The raids were conducted on a tip-off from the officials of Indian Music Industry.
