THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three members of a family were found dead in their house at Kattakada on Friday morning. The police identified the deceased as Balan, 50, and his daughters, Aswathy, 17, and Archana, 15. The police suspect the family to have committed suicide by consuming poison. The bodies were in a highly decomposed state. Neighbours had last seen the family alive on May 25 afternoon. They were alerted of the suspected "family suicide" by Balan's sister-in-law Sobha and her 12-year-old daughter who arrived at the house on Friday morning. They left the house before the police arrived. Later in the evening, the police discovered the dismembered bodies of a woman and girl on the railway track at Nemom. It is suspected that the bodies were of Sobha and her daughter.
