Ming Si struggles past Devinder

GURGAON: Yew Ming Si of Malaysia pipped Devinder Singh Bhusari 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) in the first qualifying round of the ITF Satellite tennis tournament at the NTA Complex here on Saturday.

The tough weather took its toll as the fourth-seeded Kris Nathan of the U.S. retired after losing the first set in the tie-break to Farid Alam.

The wild cards for the main draw were given to Tushar Liberhan, Ashutosh Singh, Navdeep Singh and Prima Simpatiaji of Indonesia.
