Five-wkt haul by Srihari

Mysore: A good spell of bowling by leggie Srihari (five for 11), including a hat-trick, helped The Mysore Gymkhana register a 54-run win over Mysore University Colleges Sports Council (MUCSC) and enter the final in the all-India invitation under-15 cricket tournament at the Maharaja's college grounds here on Saturday.

In the other semifinal, Mangalore SC helped by some good performances from Ashwin Rao (54), Pruthviraj (53) and Arjun Shetty (four for 10) registered a 151-run win over RBNCC, Mysore.

The scores: semifinals: The Mysore Gymkhana, Mysore, 207 for eight in 40 overs (Rohith R. Tiwari 59, Nithin Vinayak 39) bt MUCSC, Mysore, 153 in 39.4 overs (Imran 44, Srihari five for 11).

Mangalore SC 208 for nine in 40 overs (Ashwin S. Rao 54, Pruthviraj 53, Nirmith five for 37) bt RBNCC, Mysore, 57 in 21.4 overs (Arjun Shetty four for 10, Sachin V. Bhat three for eight).

Friday's scores: quarterfinals: Mangalore SC 279 for six in 40 overs (Akshay Ballal 122, Ashwin Rao 63) bt PET, SAK, Mandya 131 in 37.5 overs (Vrijesh three for five).

The Mysore Gymkhana 255 for eight in 40 overs (Rohit R. Tiwari 99, Nithin Vinayak 72) bt SAAP, Hyderabad 91 in 27 overs (Uttam Raj four for 30).

BDK Sports Foundation, Hubli, 129 in 37.2 overs (Kunal 32) lost to MUCSC, Mysore, (B. Suraj 33 not out).

Hassan Cricket Academy 114 for nine in 40 overs (Atul Bharadwaj three for 20) lost to RBNCC, Mysore 115 for seven in 35.2 overs (Anil 26, Rangaswamy four for 16).
