HYDERABAD: The Reinbazar police have registered a case against the South Zone DCP, Sandeep Shandilya, and others for allegedly trespassing into the house of one Mohammed Bin Abdullah Jabri alias Chota Mohammed Pahelwan at Yakutpura on May 15 night. The case was registered based on the directions of the court. Recently, a rowdy-sheet was opened against Chota Mohammed, a law student and son-in-law of the MIM corporator, Zafar Pahelwan. Besides lending money at exorbitant interest, Mohammed was also alleged to have threatened locals and occupied their properties. He was also reported to have occupied several Government lands. Following complaints, police teams went to Mohammed's house at Yeshrab Nagar in Yakutpura to arrest him on May 15. He and his family members allegedly resisted the police in carrying out their duty. Sources said that Mohammed even manhandled a few policemen. However, the police arrested him and he was remanded to judicial custody. The next day, Mohammed's grandmother, Anwari Begum, approached the High Court and lodged a complaint. She had even written a letter to the National Human Rights Commission. The court gave directions to the police to register a case. Besides Mr. Shandilya, case was registered against two Sub-Inspectors and a constable among others. Meanwhile, Mohammed came out on bail and got admitted in a hospital stating that he was not well. The Additional Commissioner of police (Coordination), A.K. Khan, said that the Detective Department DCP, Amit Garg, had been asked to probe the allegations against Mr. Shandilya and others. Only recently, a case was booked against three Inspectors of the zone on a complaint lodged by one Fathima Bee of Fateh Darwaza.
