BANGALORE: The Hindu EducationPlus is organising "Pre-Counselling Guidance Programmes" for students seeking admission to professional courses in Karnataka. The guidance programmes will be held in Mangalore (June 3), Bangalore (June 6) and Hubli (June 8). The programme will provide an opportunity to students to interact with an eminent panel of speakers from the field of education In Bangalore, the Special Officer of the CET Cell, M.N. Nayak, will provide information on the admission process for CET rank-holders. The other speakers in Bangalore include the Vice-Chancellor of the Visvesvaraya Technological University, K. Balaveera Reddy; the Director of PES Group of Institutions, Jawahar; COMED-K representative, S. Kumar; and Ramesh Raju, Director of the Oxford Educational Institutions. The programme is being held at the Chowdaiah Memorial Hall here, commencing at 10 a.m. Those interested in participating in the Bangalore programme should register on epkar@thehindu.co.in giving their name, address and telephone number. The programme in Mangalore will be held at the Town Hall. The panelists include the former Vice- Chancellor of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and international examiner for medicine, B.M. Hegde (Medical courses); the Registrar of the National Institute of Technology, Dr. Aloysius Sequiera (Technology); and the emeritus Professor of the National Institute of Technology and expert on biotechnology, M.N.
