BANGALORE: A youth waylaid a software engineer and robbed her of a gold chain in Hennur police station limits on Friday night. Police said that around 8 p.m. Vidya, an engineer in a software firm on Airport Road, got down from a bus and was walking towards her house in K. Narayanapura, when a youth stopped her and robbed her of a gold chain worth Rs. 5,000. Vidya went home and informed her brother, Sreenivas, of the incident. On a complaint by Sreenivas, the Hennur police have registered a case and are investigating.
