Letters to the Editor
The United Progressive Alliance Government's decision to divest 10 per cent equity in BHEL is proof of its economic policy. As Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has said that a part of the funds raised from the disinvestment will go towards supporting revivable public sector units, trade unions should consider the move an incentive to the sector. The Government, however, should ensure that the policy achieves the desired objective.
