Three landmines unearthed

VIZIANAGARAM: A special task force team, with the help of a bomb disposal squad, have unearthed three landmines at Vangara village following information by villagers that they heard deafening sound, according to the Superintendent of Police, Swati Lakra.

At a press conference on Sunday, Dr. Lakra said on searching the place, the bomb disposal squad found three landmines and a bundle of wire suspected to have been planted by the Nagavali area committee of CPI (Maoist).

She said that two out of five landmines planted exploded on Friday night due to lightning.
