SONEPAT: Thousands of people from all walks of life today paid homage to the `son of Haryana', when the urn containing the ashes of the legendary Bollywood actor-turned-politician Sunil Dutt, passed through the towns and villages of the state for its onward journey to Hardwar. The late actors daughter's, Namarata and Priyanka, are accompanying the urn which was placed atop a flower-decked vehicle. People, including women and children, besides a large number of Congress workers lined the Sher Shah Suri Marg to catch a glimpse of the urn. A few who could get close to the vehicle carrying the urn paid floral tributes. Dutt passed away in Mumbai on May 25 following a massive heart attack. The ashes would reach Mandoli, the village adopted by Dutt, in Yamuna Nagar district later in the evening where a religious ceremony would be performed. The ashes would then be taken to Hardwar tomorrow where they would be immersed in the holy Ganga.
