Fertilizer unit seeks price revision

Manufacturers find fault with the State Government policy

HYDERABAD:
Visakhapatnam-based Single Super Phosphate Manufacturers' Welfare Association has urged the Government to revise the MRP by Rs. 44 for a bag of 50 kg, as against the increase in the manufacturing cost of Rs. 55.
G. Srikrishna, vice-president, at a press conference here on Saturday said the industry was suffering huge losses due to policy discrimination.
It would be viable only when a level-playing field was provided with respect to other phosphatic fertilizers.
