Engineer held in molestation case

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHI: An engineer with a Noida-based multinational company was on Sunday arrested by the Sarai Rohilla railway station police on charges of molesting a woman advocate on board a train running between Jodhpur and Delhi.

It is learnt that the accused, Rajeev Lochan, and the victim were travelling in the three tier air-conditioning compartment of the Sampark Kranti Express.

When the train was passing through Alwar, Rajeev allegedly molested the victim who was asleep.

After the train arrived at Sarai Rohilla railway station this morning, the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the accused. Further investigations in the matter are on.

IIT student booked

for impersonation

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHI: A student of Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi was arrested for impersonation in the Capital on Sunday after he caught giving an engineering entrance exam for his friend.

According to the police, the second year engineering student in IIT, Dinesh, a resident of Kanpur, was caught by an invigilator while he was writing the Delhi College of Engineering entrance examination for Santosh, a native of Bihar, at the Hansraj Model School centre.

During the checking of admission cards, the invigilator caught Dinesh and handed him over to the police who booked him for impersonation.

Juveniles arrested

in murder case

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHI: Three juveniles have been arrested on charges of killing a 50-year-old guard at Ashok Vihar on Saturday.

According to the police, the body of Kamlesh Mishra, a guard by profession, was found on the first floor of a building on Saturday and Rs. 5,000, a telephone instrument and a blank cheque leaf was found missing from there.

The premises owner then called up the police.

Investigations led the police to zero in on three juveniles. During interrogation, they confessed to having committed the crime.

The police have recovered Rs. 3,780 and the stolen articles from them.
