BANGALORE: A 45-five-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after giving poison to his two children on Sunday in R.T. Nagar police station limits. The police said Kalandhar, resident of Chamundinagar, was estranged from his wife and was looking after his two children Patheema (10) and Ismail (7). In a dejected state, he is believed to have poisoned the two children who died and drank poison. Kalandhar died at Victoria Hospital.
Electrocuted
Sarojamma (50), a widow living near Magadi Road, was electrocuted Sunday afternoon. The police said she was drying clothes on the rooftop when she accidentally touched a livewire. She died on the spot.
Robbed
Three persons waylaid a man on Richmond Road and took away a mobile phone and Rs. 600 from him on Saturday night. The police said the victim, Devendra (35), working as driver for a private company, was waiting for a bus to his Anandapur in Yelahanka New Town, where he lives.
Car damaged
A man who parked his motorcycle on Saturday in front of his house on 4th Main in Viveknagar found it completely burnt on Sunday morning. The Viveknagar police said Sunil Mekad, an employee of Wipro, came home at 10 p.m., and parked the car in front of his house. When he woke up around 2 a.m., he found the motorcycle destroyed.
