ERODE: There is a rush to admit girl students in schools in the district. In the Plus Two exams, the pass percentage among girl students was high in the district. Hundreds of parents were seen standing in queues with their daughters in front of the schools here. Some parents waited before Matriculation Schools to admit their children in LKG. They had to wait two to three hours for the interview. Matriculation School authorities said that all the seats for LKG and UKG were filled up by April. The poor and middle class people are, as usual, sending their wards to the municipal, government and other aided schools. Plus Two and Std X classes began in some Matriculation Schools about 15 days back.
