PONDICHERRY: Movement of vehicles along some of the roads inside the Union Territory has been restricted on Tuesday as part of the security measures for the Southern Chief Ministers conference. A stretch of Kamaraj Salai between Lenin street junction and Rajiv Gandhi Square would be a vehicle-free zone. No heavy vehicles would be allowed to ply on Kamaraj Salai between Pattanikadai junctions and Lenin street junction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. No vehicle parking will be allowed on this stretch. Only two wheelers would be allowed to park on either side of Anna Salai and S.V. Patel Salai between Pattanikadai and Ajantha junctions. The same will be applicable for Vysial Street stretch between Anna Salai and Bharathi Street junctions, a police release said.
