MADURAI: Top seed Rajesh Oza of Maharashtra and second seed Darshan Patel of Gujarat tied for the honours with seven points each at the end of the eighth and final round of the first National open chess championship for blind conducted by the Tamil Nadu Chess Association here. But Darshan Patel won the title on better progressive score. Final placings: 1. Darshan Patel (Guj) 7 points; 2. Rajesh Oza (Mah) 7; 3. Madan Bagaikar (Mah) 6.5; 4. Balaraman (Ker) 6; 5. S.K.
