According the Excise Superintendent, Ch. Gangadhar, the minimum price for each shop was fixed based on the locality and the list was published in the district gazette. As per the new IML policy, announced by the State Government vide GO No 998 on May 24, the district would have 236 shops against the existing 256 shops.
