40 injured as buses collide

KOLLAM:
Forty people were injured in a collision between two fast-passenger buses of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation on Main Central Road near Nilamel on Monday morning. The condition of 14 of them is serious. They have been admitted to Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
While one of the buses was proceeding to Kadakkal from Thiruvananthapuram, the other was bound for the State capital from Pathanamthitta. Eyewitnesses said both the buses were travelling at high speeds at the time of the accident.
