HYDERABAD: Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs. 30 lakh belonging to Mohammed Yakub Ali, District Cooperative Officer, Medak district. He was formerly the Executive Director, District Scheduled Caste Services Cooperative Society Limited, Karimnagar district.
Simultaneous searches
Simultaneous searches conducted at his office, residence and his relative's houses at Karimnagar, Thorrur, Station Ghanpur of Warangal and Sangareddy, revealed that the accused officer owned five houses, four plots and six bank accounts. He was later arrested. In a separate case, the ACB unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs. 9 lakhs belonging to M. Subhash, Senior Assistant, District Scheduled Caste Services Cooperative Society Limited, Karimnagar. He was arrested. Searches revealed that he owned a house, three vehicles and 25 sovereigns of gold on his name and his family members, according to an ACB press release.
