BANGALORE: A 16-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her employer and two others in R.T. Nagar police station limits. The police said the crime was committed on Thursday night at a gift articles shop on R.T. Nagar Main Road where the girl was employed. The police said around 9 p.m. when she was walking home, her employer asked her to get back to the shop. Soon after she returned to the shop, the employer's friend and the girl's colleague allegedly gagged her. The three raped her, the police said. The girl, who fainted, returned home in the early hours of Friday and told her parents about the crime. The R.T. Nagar police have registered a case and have taken into custody A. Pasha, proprietor of the shop, and his employee, Nagabushana. The other accused is said to be at large. The girl recently joined the shop as her father lost his leg in a road accident some time ago, the police said.
Cash stolen
A security guard reportedly broke into the office of a soft drinks bottling unit in Subramanyapura police station limits and made away with Rs. 3 lakhs in cash on Saturday night. According to the police, the guard, Deepak, was on duty at the unit in Doddakallasandra. He reportedly smashed the glass panes, entered the office and stole the cash kept in a safe. The Subramanyapura police have registered a case on a complaint by factory official, Vikas Solaskar.
Woman jumps to death
A 32-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of a building in Wilson Garden police station limits on Sunday night. The police gave her name as Tara. She was married to Perumal, a businessman from Tamil Nadu, in 1991. Following differences with her husband, Tara was staying with her parents on 2nd Main, Vinayakanagar. After a tiff with her husband on Saturday night, she jumped from the third floor of the house, the police said. The Wilson Garden police have registered a case.
