HYDERABAD: Maddireddi Srinivasa Rao, a physically challenged and bedridden person, will represent the State's `bravery quotient' on the national level as the final round of the 13th edition of the Red & White Bravery awards will be held at New Delhi on June 3. Mr. Rao was earlier presented with the State-level award, under the category `Social Acts of Courage' at Hyderabad on February 16 this year. He will be among six winners of the national awards selected by a special panel of judges.
Award presentation
Gold, silver and bronze medals with a cash component of Rs.1 lakh, Rs.50,000 and Rs.25,000 respectively will be presented to the six persons. The winner of the Social Lifetime Achievement award, which carried a specially designed trophy, citation and a cash prize of Rs.2 lakh will also be announced on June 3, according to a Godfrey Phillips release here.
