Musi river belt to get facelift

The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad is planning to develop the Musi river belt into a scenic and heritage spot.

The MCH Commissioner, Sanjay Jaju, inspected the proposed beautification spots on Monday along with senior officials, according to a press release.

PF, pension

adalat

`Bhavishyanidi adalat' will be held at the office of the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Barkatpura, here on June 10 at 11 a.m., on grievances relating to PF and pensions.

Any EPF member, who has any grievance or long-pending issue, may submit it to the PF Commissioner, Pandranki Subramani, either in person or by post or fax (no.27561977) at least eight days in advance. The member may clearly mention the name, full address and PF account number giving details of the grievance. The grievance can be written in Telugu, Hindi and English.

SMS service

for electors

An SMS service, developed by NIC, Hyderabad, which facilitates the elector know details of his polling station number, polling station name and the polling station location in the Electoral Database is being launched on June 1.

The service provides one to know these details by sending his Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number to the service number, 9848515932, according to a press note.

Awareness camp

on arthritis

The Department of Rheumatology, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, will conduct an arthritis awareness camp on May 31 at 5 p.m. V. Sarath Chandra Mouli, chief rheumatologist, will deliver a lecture. Interested persons can contact him on 27814910 (ext. 2178, 2179, 2182 and 7033).

The Literacy House of Andhra Mahila Sabha will conduct a workshop on teacher empowerment on June 4 and 5.

Urdu varsity

admissions

Maulana Azad National Urdu University has announced admissions to M.A.(Urdu), MA (English), M.B.A (Urdu medium) and MA in mass communication and journalism courses.

Candidates, who have graduated with Urdu as one of the subjects, can submit applications by June 25. Admission to some courses will be on the basis of an entrance test.
