THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Anti-Power Theft Squad has detected 13 cases of power theft and 28 incidents of misappropriation in a surprise raid in the city. According to a release issued by the Kerala State Electricity Board, through the operation, the squad had been able to prevent an estimated loss of Rs.10 lakhs to the electricity board. The power theft detected from various commercial establishments in the city was found to have carried out by the shop owners by tampering with the electronic meter installed in the buildings.
