Man guns down woman, commits suicide

HASSAN: Chandra (24), a plantation labourer in Siddapsura village in Sakleshpur taluk, allegedly gunned down Shanthi (22), a girl from the same village, and later shot himself dead on Monday night, according to reports reaching here.

Police said that Chandra was having an affair with Shanthi and on knowing that her father has decided to marry her elsewhere, he gunned down her and shot himself dead.

Man killed

Narayana Gowda of Arsihalli village in Dudda Police station limits allegedly murdered his brother Shivanna (50) over a dispute over a piece of land on Monday night. According to the Dudda police, Narayana Gowda and his son Ravi attacked Shivanna and his son Chandu on Monday night.
