KOTTAYAM: The mortal remains of Markose Mar Coorilos, Metropolitan of the Jacobite Syrian Church, who died in Kochi after a prolonged illness on Monday, was interred in a specially constructed crypt at St. Mary's Church, Pangada, where he spent much of his life as a priest, in the presence of thousands of his faithfuls. The body of Mar Coorilos was brought to St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Cathedral at Manarcadu on Monday night from his parent diocese at Ponpally. On Tuesday morning, after special prayers led by Bishop Thomas Mar Themotheos, the Metropolitan of Kottayam Diocese of the Syrian Jacobite Church, the body was taken out in a procession to his final resting place.
