NEW DELHI: The United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has demanded the "unconditional release" of its 10 central committee members. The plea comes within days of the Centre inviting the banned outfit for talks.Reports said ULFA commander-in-chief, Paresh Barua, demanded their release to discuss theGovernment's invitation. Mr. Barua and ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa, along with three or four top leaders, are reportedly living in Bangladesh. The other office-bearers are in Assam jails. Assamese writer Mamoni Raison Goswami, to whom National Security Adviser (NSA) M.K. Narayanan sent e-mail on the Government's offer, has given the ULFA a hard copy of the letter as demanded by its chairman.
