Jamdat Mobile acquires Blue Lave

HYDERABAD: Jamdat Mobile Inc announced the acquisition of Blue Lava Wireless for $137 million (excluding payment of $3.7 million for net cash and accounts receivable). Jamdat, which has its Indian operations (development offices) in Hyderabad, is a major wireless gaming company. The acquisition gives it rights to publish `Tetris', one of the top selling mobile games globally. It gives Jamdat rights to publish Tetris in North America, Latin America and India. It would acquire rights for Europe, China, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, as the current licensees' rights expire by 2005 end, according to a release.
