Registration for pre-counselling to continue

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The registration for the pre-counselling guidance programme for professional courses being organised by The Hindu-Educationplus in association with the State Bank of Travancore at the AKG Memorial Hall here on June 5 will continue.

The programme to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. will consist of a general session during which experts on medicine, engineering and agriculture and allied subjects will make presentations on the scope of the various courses in those areas and a question answer session during which the students and their parents will be able to interact with the experts and have their doubts cleared.

Students who have qualified in the entrance examination for admission to professional courses should register for participating in the programme.

The registration can be done by the students themselves or their representatives by remitting a fee of Rs.30 at the office of The Hindu at Vallakadavu. Outstation students can register by e-mail at the address educationplustvm@thehindu.co.in.

The form for registration will be e-mailed to such students, which they can return duly filled immediately or bring it along when they come for the programme. It is enough if these students remit the registration fee at the venue. For the sake of the students who are not able to register in advance, registration will be allowed on a limited scale at the venue also on the day of the programme. A handbook containing information about the counselling programme, statistics of the last two years and articles on the scope of various courses will be distributed to the participants at the venue. Pre-counselling guidance programmes are being organised at two other centres also in the State. It will be held in Kozhikode on June 2 and in Kochi on June 4.
