PALAKKAD: As many as 18,045 Kudumbasree units set up to empower women are functioning both in the rural and urban areas of the district. According to the Kudumbasree District Mission Co-ordinator, Sudhamani, the units cover 2,91,421 families. Of these, 2,59,740 families are those belonging to the below poverty line.
