KASARAGOD: A textile shop and its godown in Kanhangad were gutted when a fire broke out at 3.30 a.m. Textiles stocked in the shop and godown, were destroyed in the fire. The Fire Force had a tough task trying to contain the fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings. Parts of a nearby restaurant were damaged in the fire. Sobha Textiles began functioning two years ago from the three-storeyed building in Kanhangad, near here. The first two floors of the building house the show room and the third floor functions as the godown. The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit.
