Pre-counselling guidance programme on Thursday

Special Correspondent

KOZHIKODE: It has been decided to allow registration for the pre-counselling guidance programme organised by The Hindu Education Plus in association with the State Bank of Travancore till June 1 and also before its commencement on June 2. This has been done in response to requests from parents and students.

The programme is for students who have qualified for admission to professional courses. It is to be held at Calicut Tower on Indira Gandhi Road in Kozhikode from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The programme will have a general session during which experts on medicine, engineering and agriculture and allied subjects will make presentations on opportunities and challenges offered by these courses and an interactive session for the participants to clear their doubts and seek clarifications.

Participants have to register by remitting a fee of Rs.30 at the office of The Hindu at Shaaz Building on Kannur Road, Kozhikode (phone: 0495-2762201-04) or at the venue before 9 a.m. on June 2. Outstation students can register by e-mail at the address trravi@thehindu.co.in. The form for registration will be e-mailed to those who apply by e-mail.

They can return the filled applications immediately or bring along the completed application form when they come for the programme.

It is enough if these students remit the registration fee at the venue. A handbook containing information about the counselling programme, statistics of the last two years and articles on the scope of various courses will be distributed to the participants.

Similar pre-counselling guidance programmes are also being organised in Kochi on June 4 and in Thiruvananthapuram on June 5.
