AMRITSAR: The Kisan Sangharsh Committee has resorted to an indefinite dharna near Kathunangal on the Amritsar-Pathankot highway since last evening to protest against power cuts against farmers. The agitation has led to disruption of traffic on this busy national highway and the police faced tough time to divert the traffic on alternative route. Committee convener Kamaljit Singh Pannu said the power supply to rich and urban consumers had been kept unaffected while the electricity supply to farmer had been discontinued affecting irrigation work adversely.
