KURNOOLCUDDAPAH: A free anti-smoking clinic was organised here on Tuesday in connection with the World No Tobacco Day. Over 200 patients were examined at the camp, which was inaugurated by the Municipal Commissioner, K. Venkateswarlu. Mr. Venkateswarlu said smoking would be banned in municipal schools and the students would be taught the ill-effects of smoking. G. Kullayappa, retired professor, who examined the patients said anti-smoking clinics be organised in Government hospitals considering the health hazard caused by smoking.
Lupin Pharmaceuticals and Elder Pharmaceuticals distributed medicines worth Rs 20,000 free of cost to patients.
He distributed free medicines to patients at New Life Clinic here on World No Tobacco Day.
