Junior doctors' stir after June 15

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors' Association on Tuesday decided to go on an indefinite strike after June 15 demanding implementation of the Jeevan Reddy Committee recommendations.

B.R.Suresh Babu, president, said in a press release on Tuesday that the association was serving strike notice to the Government due to its "negligent" attitude in not honouring its promises. He accused the Government of preferring to "break the promises and look after its own gains rather than the benefit and betterment of public health and medical education".
