TDP expels sarpanch

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party has expelled P.Kondala Rao, sarpanch of Palakonda, (Srikakulam district) following his arrest on the charge of raping a woman in New MLA quarters here on Monday.

His primary membership was scrapped and he was expelled after ascertaining facts, the party general secretary, K. Srihari, said in a statement here on Tuesday.
