Man dies of burns

CHENNAI:
A worker at a plastic manufacturing unit in Basin Bridge died on Tuesday after effluents spilled on him and caught fire. Another man was injured.
Police identified the victim as Sarju (42) of Bihar. A can of effluents spilled and caught fire when he was making plastic mugs in the factory on Monday. Avinash, also from Bihar, was injured. Both were taken to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital where Sarju died on Tuesday morning.
The police have arrested the owner of the unit, R.K. Salani, on charges of negligence and violation of factory safety norms.
