Probe sought into pastor's killing

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The All India United Christians Movement For Equal Rights (AIUCMER) has urged the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, to order an inquiry into the killing of pastor K. Daniel and the mysterious disappearance of pastor K. Issac Raj in the Cyberabad police limits.

In a statement issued today, the president of the AIUCMER, Brother Jose Daniel requested Dr. Reddy to recommend to the Centre a law on the minorities and religious persons on the lines of SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989, in the forthcoming Parliament session.

The association had sent a fact-finding team comprising MLA Christine Lazarus and others to study the incidents.
