eSeva to issue monthly milk cards from today

VIJAYAWADA: The monthly advance milk cards of the Vijaya Dairy will be available to consumers at all eSeva centres in the city from June 1.

The Krishna district Milk Producers' Mutually Aided Co-operative Union Chairman, Mandava Janaki Ramaiah, said at a press conference here on Tuesday that monthly cards for double toned, toned, standardised, special and Vijaya Gold milk would be available at all eSeva centres from the 1st to 7th of every month.

The consumers should quote the number of the booth that was convenient to them while purchasing the monthly card, said Mr. Janaki Ramaiah.

The discount being offered to monthly cardholders would be extended to them even at the eSeva counters. Monthly cardholders would get a discount of 30 paise for every litre of double toned, toned and standardized milk and 40 paise for every litre of Vijaya Special and Vijaya Gold milk purchased. Senior citizens would get a discount of Re.1 to a maximum of one litre.

Mr. Janaki Ramaiah lauded the efforts of the joint Collector, P. Sampath Kumar, for his initiative in making monthly cards available to milk consumers through the eSeva centres.

The chairman said that the milk union would pay a commission of 18 paise for every litre of milk sold through the eSeva centre.
