SALEM: The first year students of the Central Law College staged a demonstration in front of the college here on Wednesday urging the college management to give adequate time to prepare for the university examinations.
Working days extended
As the working days were extended to June 22, students were getting inadequate time to prepare for the examinations, which were scheduled to commence on July 1. They claimed that though the lecturers had completed the portions, the management was conducting special classes for attendance. "We are losing time to attend these classes. As many of us are from other districts, we also incur more expenses to stay here," they said. However, the College Principal, Omana George, said the college had to conduct special classes in May and June to compensate the days lost because of delayed admission, which was supposed to be over by December, 2004. The exercise got extended up to February. "This loss of days has to be compensated. Hence, we are conducting special classes," she added.
