SPL to go public soon
CHENNAI:
The Rs. 153 crore SPL Industries proposes to raise funds from the market to expand operations. SPL manufactures and exports knitted apparel to the U.S., Europe, Canada and Japan. Almost 95 per cent of the total production is exported. The major customers of the company are GAP of the U.S, J.C. Penny, Kohl's Corporation, Haggar Clothing Co., Sears, Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation and others. SPL also manufactures home furnishings which are exported to the Middle East and the U.S., according to a release.
