CHENNAI: Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute (Deemed University) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the University of Adelaide, Australia. Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) and Prof. Michael F Yeo, Academic Projects (Asia) from the Australian University, visited the city university on May 30. They met Chancellor A.C. Shanmugam, Vice-Chancellor R.M. Vasagam and other senior faculty members of the deemed university. The MoU was signed and executed to have collaboration in the areas of higher learning, skilled training, faculty development and exchange programme, active research and project development. The institutions have agreed to work together in the following areas: aerospace engineering, automobile engineering, food processing engineering, bio-technology, robotics engineering, computer, electronics and communication engineering, architecture, medicine and dental sciences and business management. Areas such as nano technology and space technology will be considered for active collaboration. The focus will be on research for fulltime students as well as for the faculties at both the universities.
