CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Food and Supplies Department has cancelled licences of seven dealers for committing various irregularities in the public distribution system in April this year. An official note here on Thursday stated that an intensive campaign to improve the functioning of the fair price shops in the State had been undertaken in which the Department had forfeited security of 89 erring dealers worth over Rs. 41,850. Two cases had been registered with the police against the dealers.
